Sasik Stone Town

Sasik Stone Town is located in Stone Town, Zanzibar. This successful women’s craft co-operative creates elaborate furnishing covers and wall hangings based on Arabic designs. The beautiful and intricate designs of Sasik work are based on many influences, including traditional Arabic, Swahili and Bedouin patterns along with architectural details of Stone Town. Each piece has the exquisite, colorful patterns hand-stitched to the material.
