Rundugai

Rundugai is a Tanzanian village known for its extraordinary natural phenomenon: the Rundugai Springs. These springs, also called Chemka Hot Springs, emerge from underground in the middle of a parched and dusty landscape. Despite the name, the water is not hot; it’s actually a pleasant temperature. Visitors can enjoy crystal-clear, turquoise waters surrounded by palm trees, swim, relax, and even have a picnic. On clear days, the views of Mount Kilimanjaro are fabulous. The presence of different ethnic groups Maasai, Pare, Chagga, Kamba, Nyiramba adds to the village’s cultural wealth, making it an ideal stopover for cultural tours before or after wildlife safaris or Kilimanjaro treks.
