Amuka Lodge Guided Nature Walks

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Uganda

About Amuka Lodge Guided Nature Walks

Amuka is perfectly located as a stop midway between Kampala and Murchison Falls National Park, or even further north such as Kidepo Valley National Park. Nature walks can be scheduled in the late afternoon or early morning and enable visitors to get a glimpse of the diverse and plentiful wildlife that share the sanctuary. Visitors regularly see Ugandan cob, bushbuck, oribi, duiker, warthogs, waterbuck, reedbuck, vervet monkeys, and black and white colobus monkeys. Interesting reptiles often turn up including chameleons, geckos and agamas. Guests stand the chance of sighting a recently-discovered species of dragonfly that is unique to the area, and they might even catch a glimpse of a leopard, aardvark, genet cat or porcupine.
