The Reef Experience Zanzibar

The Reef Experience Zanzibar offers guests a comfortable and accessible way to explore Zanzibar’s marine world from Stone Town and Kendwa Beach. From Stone Town, operations run year-round and include Classic Reef Tours, Reef & Beach experiences, Sunset Cruises, and Private Speedboat Charters. Guests depart from the Forodhani Gardens lounge before boarding the reef-viewing vessel, where they can enjoy open-air views from the upper deck and marine viewing from the fully air-conditioned lower deck with large panoramic windows.

Stone Town experiences include:
- Classic Reef, a 2-hour reef-viewing journey around Bawe Island
- Reef & Beach, a 3-hour experience combining reef viewing with a sandbank visit
- Sunset Cruise, a 1-hour Stone Town harbour experience
- Private Speedboat Charters, available as 4-hour or 8-hour tailor-made adventures

From Kendwa Beach, The Reef Experience Zanzibar operates the 2-hour Classic Reef Tour only, offering travellers on Zanzibar’s northern coast a dry and comfortable way to discover selected reef-viewing areas. Kendwa departures operate three times daily at 09:00, 11:20, and 13:45, with a minimum of 2 guests required per departure. Kendwa operates seasonally, while Stone Town continues year-round.
