Tumbeta Private Game Reserve is a unique conservation area in Tanzania focused on preserving vultures and raptors. Tumbeta is home to over 80 species of birds, including many endangered or threatened species. The reserve provides critical nesting habitat for many of these birds and safe areas for birds to feed and roost. Tumbeta also serves as an important research site for the study of vultures and raptors and is home to Tumbeta Vulture Research Center, a collaborative effort between Tumbeta and the Tanzania Wildlife Conservation Society.
