Tumbeta Private Game Reserve

Bushveld meets the Kalahari at Tumbeta Private Game Reserve, a secluded hideaway in the remote northwest portion of the Limpopo province and about a 3-hour drive from Pretoria. A 7000-hectare unspoiled paradise, Tumbeta is home to over 300 bird species and 50 mammal species, namely lions, cheetahs, sables, leopards, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, pangolins, and many others. Bird lovers will also find nesting White Back and Lappet-faced vultures on the reserve, and raptors also frequent the area, especially in the summer when they follow nesting Red-billed Quelea flocks.
