Fixion Adventures Canyoning

This is a stunning day out, where the peace and tranquility of this pristine mountain environment is perfectly countered by the adrenalin rush of abseiling through waterfalls and diving into rock pools. Frixion Adventures has exclusive access to this awe inspiring adventure. Brett Pomario, Frixion's leader, has extensive experience and his attention to detail and safety aspects is reassuring. The guides who make the day possible are energetic, extremely competent and make you feel very safe. The day starts at the top of Du Toits Kloof Pass. A short walk takes you to the mountain stream where the water is so pure that you drink from its bubbling flow. The first descent sets you up for the day ahead. There follow a further 5 descents which vary in height and complexity. One waterfall pours into a 9 metre deep rock pool where the brave can work their way up to a 15 metre dive. Surrounded by outstanding natural beauty the lunch stop half way down is a unique experience. At the end of the day, having descended some 350m, there is a rugged 15 minute hike out and back to the awaiting vehicle to transport you back up to the top where cold drinks sit in an iced cooler box ready for consumption.
