About Grand Tsingy Hiking Trail
Grand Tsingy Hiking Trail is situated within the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park on the centre-west side of Madagascar. Tsingy is a Malagasy word which means ‘walking on tiptoes’. Grand Tsingy Hiking Trail is a half-day trip which takes hikers through the limestone forest and along hanging bridges. This is an easy trek that even children can do, except that the hanging bridges can get the adrenalin pumping situated above deep crevices. Overall, the scenery is spectacular on the hike and there are lemurs on the way. Visitors are advised to make an early start to benefit from the relatively cool morning.
