About Ntlfatso Glass Recycling and Beautifying Project - Upcycling Glass Into Jewelry & Crafts (1 hr)
Ntlafatso Glass Recycling and Beautifying Project - turning recycled glass into jewellery in Maun, Botswana.
If environmental conservation is a cause that is important to you, then the Ntlafatso Glass project is sure to pull your heart strings.
The project is turning trash into treasure, thus reducing the amount of trash going to the landfill and preserving the environment. The project also aims to curb the burden of unemployment that many women face in Maun. The initiative currently empowers two women who make one-of-a-kind jewellery products to generate income and support their families whilst keeping the environment clean. The goal is to add many more women in the coming year with additional support and training funded by our generous funding partners.
Lend a hand in promoting environmental wellness. Spend an hour with the delightful ladies as they diligently take you through each stage of producing a jewellery product. From crushing glass using a mortar and pestle, melting the crushed glass in a traditional kiln, to molding the melted glass in handmade molds - create your own unique jewellery souvenir and leave a lasting footprint on environmental wellness.
