Maweni Farm

Maweni is an old colonial farm in stunning surroundings near Soni in the Usambara Mountains. Located under a vertical cliff among giant rocks, Maweni is Swahili for ‘by the rocks’, with lush park like gardens surrounding a pond. The Usambaras offer excellent walking, through a varied mountain landscape with friendly villages, dark rain forests and views over the rest of Africa. Sleep well in cool mountain air, wake up to the sound of birds and eat a healthy breakfast with the monkeys watching from the nearby trees.
