About KwaMnandi Lodge
The building which houses the Aliwal Shoal Backpackers dates back to 1925, originally built as a hotel called the "Umkomaas Golf Hotel". It is situated 100 meters from the beach, over the road from the Umkomaas Golf Course and Bowling Club and 1 km from the boat launch site to the Aliwal Shoal for the scuba diver. On site is a beauty salon, hairdresser, swimming pool and the famous 'Shaggy Raggie' where good times happen.
Aliwal Shoal Backpackers can accommodate up to 27 guests who share rooms, kitchen and lounge facilities. In addition, there are 5 double rooms for couples wanting more privacy.
