About Buhala Lodge

Buhala Lodge is an enchanting colonial style thatched lodge on the southern banks of the Crocodile River, overlooking the famous Kruger Park. The ample outdoor veranda invites guests to relax and dine outdoors while admiring panoramic sunset views over the river and all the wildlife splendour Kruger has to offer. Buhala offers three Kruger Park River rooms, four Kruger Park Balcony rooms and eight standard rooms, all with airconditioning and tea trays. At the bottom of the garden, two serene Elephant Garden rooms share magnificent views over the Crocodile River and Kruger Park, as well as a refreshing splash pool. Each has a private outdoor sitting area, and indoor and outdoor shower for the adventurous types. Buhala is well known for fine cuisine and an exceptional wine list showcasing only the finest South African wines. Meals are served either al fresco on the veranda, or in the gracious dining room, the ambience being one of casual elegance. Guests have the rare opportunity to play golf at the exclusive Leopard Creek Golf course. This course, usually reserved for members only, offers players a wildlife experience while challenging their golfing skills on South Africa’s number one golf course. Safaris into the Kruger National Park are arranged and conducted by experienced guides. Early morning walks and even night drives can also be arranged, as well as any and all transfers that might be needed. The open deck bush spa with sweeping views over Kruger Park and the Crocodile River, provide a variety of treatments for those who wish to relax after a long day. "We had a great 3 days at Buhala and enjoyed that the last night was free in the 3 for 2 special. Great setting along Crocodile River. Wonderful lodge with beautiful rooms. We used the game drive activities. Carol, the ranger, was very helpful and professional whether when she was the guide or if she was arranging drives done by park rangers. The meals were very good. The staff were always cheerful and helpful. In all a delightful experience for an experienced African visitor and two completely new to the experience. Highly recommended."
