About Karisia Rapa Camp
Karisia Rapa Camp is set on the edge of a grassy glade, offering views into the olive and croton forest. It is the perfect place to relax and watch the forest birds fly by.
At the southern end of the glade, you'll find wells dug by the Samburu people, used for many years to water their livestock. These wells, known as "singing wells," are a vital resource during the dry season, where livestock drink from troughs at the wells' edge.
In the evenings, wildlife emerges onto the glade, and the birdlife throughout the day is spectacular. The Karisia Hills are home to Crowned Eagles, which can often be seen soaring above the canopy.
At an altitude of 6,000 feet, it gets cool at night with chilly mornings, providing a refreshing contrast to the daytime warmth.
