About Karisia Lolkejeta Camp
Set on an open grassy glade deep within the Old Growth Forest, Karisia Lolkejeta Camp boasts a commanding view of the Karisia Hills and a rocky outcrop favored by resident baboons.
The Old Growth Forest extends a considerable distance to the north and south, creating a canopy that keeps the area lush and supports forest wells frequented by wildlife at night.
As evening falls, immerse yourself in the changing sounds of the forest as nocturnal animals emerge. It's sure to give you a primal thrill or two!

Karisia Classic Walking Safari
Our Classic Walking Safaris with Camels offers a touch of extravagance to this already magical safari.
Enjoy walking through this wilderness area with your armed guide, tracker and riding camels. You guide will focus on your interests pointing out hidden gems. The camels accompany you for your walk, carry refreshments and can be ridden at times.
Your entire camp is moved daily by your Laikipia Masai and Samburu team and a caravan of 10 - 25 sturdy camels. Accommodation is a spacious traditional, canvas tent with a chair, table, mirror, drinking water and a basin on the veranda. Bedding includes 2 feather pillows, luxurious sheets, duvets as well as dressing gowns, towels, hot water bottles, solar lights and carpets.
Bucket showers come with a good supply of hot water and each tent has it own toilet behind the tent. We can create a family unit by joining two tents together and we can also include camp beds. Delicious meals are prepared each day with locally sourced produce and we cater to any dietary request. We include a selection of luxury beers, wines and spirits.
