Ras Kutani

The resort of Ras Kutani is located on the east coast of Tanzania, just 30 kilometres south of Dar es Salaam. This secluded stretch of coastline - which requires visitors to be rowed across a lagoon - features white sand beaches, inviting warm waters and lush tropical surrounds, and is also a favourite nesting place for sea turtles. Accommodation at Ras Kutani is exclusively available at the resort, offering safari-style ‘beach lodge’ suites with lovely ocean views. As well as swimming and long walks on the quiet shores, there are excellent snorkelling opportunities in the area. Ras Kutani also has two sister camps in Tanzania – Siwandu in the Selous Game Reserve and Jongomero in Ruaha National Park – and trips to these fantastic wilderness areas are easily organised from the resort.
