Masailand

Set two hours’ drive northwest of Arusha, Masailand is a remote settlement among wild, vast expanses of the bushveld. The tranquil town makes for an ideal base from which to explore the many surrounding national parks and natural attractions and is located conveniently close to Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, and the famous Ngorongoro Crater. The rain forests and open plains here are home to a huge range of animal species such as lion, leopard, buffalo, Lesser Kudu, Oryx, Gerenuk, Grant’s Gazelles, White-Bearded Wildebeest, and Cokes Hartebeest. Spectacular photographic opportunities await in the wide plains dotted with acacia trees and rocky outcrops.
