Mattsens Restaurant

Mattsen's Restaurant has been open since 1987, and the relaxed atmosphere lends itself to an evening of casual dining with a bit of class. In the winter a large fire in the diningroom gives a warm and homely trend to the restaurant. While in summer the outside deck section under the oak trees, is a favourite with weary travellers.

The food is prepared freshly prepared and the menu offers a wide variety. The slogan 'We do steaks best' says it all. Quality South African meat is used to prepare mouthwatering steaks, burgers and ribbs. Steaks are cut and grilled to order. The winelist offers a big selection of local Robertson / Bonnievale wine along with some selections from Paarl and Stellenbosch. Mattsens is the only restaurant in Swellendam open 7 days a week from 11am - 10pm.
