The Living Room

At Le Quartier Francais, we have three gorgeous spaces that make up our 'Living Room'. Each area offers an individual style and atmosphere, ensuring that you always find the right spot to quench your thirst or grab a bite to eat.

Our sunny, recently refurbished, Garden Room is a beautiful, inviting space that opens up onto our rambling gardens through wide glass doors. We serve our renowned breakfast buffet in this venue and have extended the breakfast hours from 07h00 till 11h00, so there’s no need to rush out of bed in fear that you’ll miss it! The breakfast buffet offers homemade granola and pastries (including our famous and oh so delicious sticky buns!), freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, infused teas, and plenty of fresh fruit.

The kitchen also offers an array of cooked breakfasts using only the freshest of local ingredients, such as organic eggs from Spier Estate, pasture-reared bacon and sausages handcrafted by Neil Jewell of Bread & Wines, a popular local restaurant.

The Reading Room – A side lounge that joins our Garden Room and Lounge Bar areas, has been skillfully decorated to include unique locally made pieces of furniture, creating a truly inviting space to relax and unwind.

The Le Quartier Lounge Bar area, offers artisanal beers, local wines and 'food-based' craft cocktails; using South African ingredients such as, mebos, sour figs, buchu and nettles. Executive Chef, Margot Janse, has created a scrumptious bar menu too, featuring dishes from ‘Prawn Popcorn’ and a wonderful ‘Grazing Board’ to ‘Mama's Meatballs’!
Enjoy our specially blended loose leaf teas by Lady Bonin's Tea Parlour, with a selection of delicious pastries. We also have a variety of freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices.

Open from 12h00 - 23h00, with the bar menu available until 22h00, this cocktail emporium is a stylish place to meet and relax in a comfortable yet trendy space.

Franschhoek is an eclectic, international area and The Living Room affords the locals and visitors a place to mingle; you could be sitting next to a winemaker, doctor or chef - and the locals all have interesting tales to tell...
