About Akacia Cafe - disabled as the cafe is temporarily closed

Akacia Cafe is a vibrant multicultural hub in the heart of Maun. Sharing space with Nhabe Museum, Akacia Cafe's inception was heavily influenced by the founder's Ednah Rosen rich multicultural background. Coming from a mixed lineage of Botswana, Portuguese and Mozambican roots and partly growing up in Zimbabwe, Ednah now runs Akacia Cafe with her Swedish husband, Mike Rosen. Much like the owners, the menu offers the best of both worlds. Most of the dishes are inspired by Ednah's globetrotting days: fusing flavours of the world with Setswana traditions to produce a unique offering. Using the finest ingredients, Chef Ednah pairs Botswana staples beef Seswaa and Morogo with vegetables and your pick of pap or rice. A feast for all palates, the Mezze Meal is bound to leave a lasting impression on your tastebuds. There is a drink for every occasion with healthy juices such as Lemon Crush, Ginger Soother and Okavango Sunset, and smoothies such as Monkey Moo and Linyanti Mudslide on offer. Those who enjoy something much stronger can enjoy a beer, cider or spirit of their choice. There are also Funky Fridays at Akacia Cafe, where visitors can listen to folklore legend Stigga Sola, Alternative heads The What, and Afro Pop sensation KoolKat live on stage while sipping ice-cold beverages.
