Manja

Located in the district of Manja, the town of Manja lies within the Menabe Region of western Madagascar. This small, quiet village is set on the road that stretches from Belo-sur-Mer and Morombe and serves as a convenient stopover when travelling between the two cities. Manja also provides an excellent base from which to explore the magnificent surrounding landscapes which feature grassy plains that are punctuated by thorny forests peppered with majestic baobab trees. This photographer's dream draws visitors from all over the world. Visitors can also enjoy crossing the Mangoky River by ferry at Bevoay, sample an array of local Malagasy cuisine and spot a wide selection of endemic wildlife including lemurs, satanic leaf-tailed geckos and many bird species.
