Moramanga

Sandwiched between the east coast of beautiful Madagascar and the capital city of Antananarivo, the city of Moramanga, meaning ‘easy to beautify', boasts a rich history and cultural heritage. It serves as an excellent stopover for those en route to the spectacularly scenic Andasibe-Mantadia National Park which is known for its natural beauty. Historically, it was the place where the Malagasy Uprising began against French Colonial rule in 1947. Visitors can look forward to exploring the town via pousse-pousse- a local Malagasy mode of transport, sample local cuisine and immerse themselves in the culture of the Bezanozano people, one o the 18 ethnic groups in the country.
