Mananara

Located on Madagascar’s northeastern coast, the town of Mananara, which is also the name of the surrounding commune, is set at the southern entrance of the beautiful Antongil Bay; the country’s largest bay. The town is also called Mananara Nord or Mananara Avaratra and falls within the Analanjirofo region. This very remote town lies off the beaten track in the heart of the Vanilla Route. It provides an excellent base for visitors who want to explore the nearby Mananara Nord National Park.
