Vohemar

Idyllically sheltered in a well-protected bay, the coastal city of Vohemar is set in the eponymous commune in the Sava Region in northern Madagascar. Flanked by a tidal creek and the Indian ocean, Vohemar, also called Iharana, is known for its wild beaches; vanilla, clove and coffee industries; and its archaeological treasures. It serves as the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area including the Loky Manambato Protected Area near Daraina.
