Analamerana Special Reserve

Madagascar

Welcome to Analamerana Special Reserve

Also known as Reserve Speciale d' Andrafiamena, Analamerana Special Reserve is located 75km from Diego Suarez in northeastern Madagascar and dotted with baobabs - dubbed 'the upside down tree' - and patches of 'tsingy' - spiky limestone pinnacles that have been whittled by the elements. It is home to an array of exotic and endangered fauna and flora, including chameleons, Madagascar tree boas and various lemur species. If you are lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the Perrier's sifaka lemur - one of the world's most endangered primates, which only exists in this reserve.
