Welcome to Andapa
Set below jungle-swathed mountains amidst verdant green rice fields and lush coffee and vanilla plantations, Andapa is one of Madagascar’s most alluring destinations and the gateway to one of its finest national parks. Just twenty-five kilometres from the town is the Anjanaharibe-Sud Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that encompasses some of the country’s last virgin rainforest and is a habitat for a huge biodiversity of animals, including over 100 avian species, 40 species of reptiles and 12 species of lemurs - a rare and endangered primate species which is found only in Madagascar.
