Wasini Island

Lying just off the southeastern coast of Kenya, Wasini Island is a laidback tropical paradise known for its white-sand beaches lapped by turquoise waters. Wasini Island is sparsely populated and undeveloped with only small fishing villages and a few Swahili ruins dating back to the 17th century. Visitors can snorkel and dive through the beautiful coral reef of Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park, spot dolphins and whales in the East African current, fish in the famous Pemba Channel, visit the 'Shimoni Slave Caves' and laze in a hammock enjoying magnificent views and the gentle sea breeze.
