Nyeri

The thriving agricultural city of Nyeri lies nestled beneath the peaks of Mt Kenya and the Aberdares, in the country’s Central Highlands. The town is famous for its fragrant, flavoursome coffee, and there are a variety of tours, tastings, and other coffee experiences on offer. The city is also home to some excellent restaurants, as well as many good accommodation options. Nyeri often serves as a base for travellers wanting to see the magnificent Aberdare National Park - where nature lovers can explore diverse landscapes, including mountains, bamboo forests, and dramatic waterfalls. Visitors at the park may even be able to spot lion, leopard, elephant, East African wild dog, giant forest hog, and several bucks, monkey and bird species.
