Mount Stanley (5109 m (16 763 ft)) is the highest mountain of both Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mount Stanley is named for the journalist and explorer, Sir Henry Morton Stanley and its highest peak, Point Margherita (5109m), is the third highest in Africa and is named after Queen Margherita of Italy.
