About Mount Morungole
Mount Morungole, situated within Kidepo Valley National Park in northeastern Uganda, stands at an elevation of 2,750 meters and is the highest point in the park. The mountain also serves as the source of the Kidepo and Narus Rivers. Tourists can hike in the area and spot various wildlife species. Additionally, Mount Morungole holds cultural significance as the ancestral home of the Ik people, Uganda’s smallest ethnic group.
