About Uganda Martyrs Catholic Shrine Namugongo

The Uganda Martyrs Catholic Shrine Namugongo was established in 1935 in Kampala, Uganda, by the Mill Hill Missionaries. The 26-hectare property was dedicated to Our Lady Queen Martyrs of Uganda in memory of the Namugongo holocaust. Visitors to the Shrine can participate in seminars, fellowships and crusades, and attend weddings, meditation and mass. The priests on the property are on hand to provide visitors with spiritual guidance and church services. Visitors can embark on daily guided tours from 08:30 till 18:00.
