Retina Hippo Pool

Retina Hippo Pool, located in the central Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, is a natural site formed at the meeting of the Seronera and Orangi rivers. Visitors can observe large groups of hippos at close range from designated viewpoints and watch their interactions during safari stops. The site is notable for hosting a high concentration of hippos, sometimes numbering around 200, and for being one of the few places where visitors may leave their vehicles under guidance to view wildlife. It also attracts other animals such as crocodiles and birds, adding to its ecological significance.
