About Tanzania Weather
Tanzania enjoys a tropical equatorial climate. Coastal areas are mostly hot and humid while the highlands are cooler and more temperate. The northern part of the country experiences two wet seasons; the long rains occur during March and May and the shorter rains from November to December. The rest of the country only has one wet season, from November to May. The Tanzanian winter, June to October, generally brings dry and cold weather throughout the country. The hottest time of the year is from December to March, which coincides with the wet season.
