Boat Based Whale Watching

Between June and November each year, Southern Right whales, along with less common Bryde’s and Humpback whales, grace the Cape coast with their presence, coming to breed and nurse their young in sheltered bays. Boat-based whale watching trips operate from a number of places around False Bay and Walker Bay as well as on the Atlantic coast, including Simon’s Town, Hermanus, Gansbaai, Hout Bay and the Waterfront.
