Wildebraam Berry Estate in the Hermitage berry valley only a stones-throw away from one of the oldest towns in South Africa called Swellendam. The Estate is located amongst other farms cultivating berries, but what sets this one apart is the fact that it’s a Jack of many trades, and master of all of them! Here’s what we do…

Season time brings a spirit to this valley not found anywhere else with pickers and carriers rushing to bring the ripened berries in with each day being too short to get to them all. Anyone who wants to share in the festive atmosphere can come pick their own berries, or for those preferring the shade there will be fresh berries for sale, hand picked and sorted, simply to be enjoyed.

The Wildebraam Liqueur Factory boasts a wide variety of products, ranging from a selection of liqueurs, syrups, gifts and jams right through to chutneys, pickles, atchars and preserves that are shipped out to vendors all over South Africa and is fast becoming a household name. For those visiting the farm itself throughout the year, we have a tasting room that feels like home despite being open during office hours (Mondays to Fridays 8:00 to 17:00 and Saturdays from 9:00 to 16:00) for any and everyone to come and have a look at what we do. We want you to taste and try everything, albeit a single person dropping by on the way past or a touring group interested in everything this country has to offer. We’ll be happy to tell you about our farm, the berries and the stories behind all our products.
