About Erfurthuis
Erfurthuis is the administrative office of the Stellenbosch Museum, located in Stellenbosch, South Africa. It is an impressive double-storey building with the magnificent wood and wrought iron balcony rising to the roof on all sides of the house. It was named Erfurthuis after the town of Erfurt in Germany, which was the birthplace of the ancestor of the Beyers family in South Africa. On 20 September 1991, Erfurthuis was officially opened by the Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Gene Louw, as the new administrative headquarters of the Stellenbosch Museum.
