Bontebok National Park

Bontebok National Park is a nature reserve near the town of Swellendam in the Western Cape province. Established in 1931, it is one of the country's oldest national parks and spans an area of approximately 27 square kilometres. The park was created to protect the endangered bontebok antelope, once on the brink of extinction. Today, it serves as a sanctuary for this beautiful species, along with other wildlife, including cape mountain zebra, grey rhebok, and various bird species. Visitors can explore the park through hiking trails, birdwatching, and game drives, witnessing the unique biodiversity and stunning landscapes of the area.
