About CJ Langenhoven Museum
Acclaimed South African poet and champion of the Afrikaans language, CJ Langenhoven is perhaps best known for having written the old South African National Anthem. The CJ Langenhoven Museum preserves Langenhoven’s historic family home in which he grew up and died. His grave and tombstone are on site. The museum contains mostly personal items and is a wonderfully restored window into the daily creative life of the man known for his satirical wit and gentle ways.
