Kingswood College

Kingswood College, founded in 1894, is an independent, boarding and day school that caters for girls and boys from preschool to bridging year, post matric. Set in beautiful grounds, Kingswood offers pupils a well rounded education, with wonderful facilities available in both the academic and sporting spheres. While all the traditional subjects and sports are offered, there are many other less well known activities such as model engineering, rock climbing and Toastmasters to keep the pupils busy.

The Grade 12 pupils write the Independent Examination Board matriculation examinations and the school has consistently gained excellent results. Information Technology is taught in the well equipped IT Center, and pupils have access to email and internet facilities. Kingswood is renowned for it’s Music School.

The majority of pupils in the Senior School are boarders, with about 160 pupils coming from countries outside of South Africa. The College is a member of the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa and can accommodate a maximum of 430 pupils in the Senior School, while the Junior School’s capacity is about 300.
