About Hartbeespoort Aerial Cableway
The Hartbeespoort Aerial Cableway, first built in 1973, spans 1.2 km, carrying visitors to the top of the Magaliesberg for sweeping views of the mountains, Hartbeespoort Dam, and beyond. At the summit, walking trails, picnic areas, and viewing decks allow visitors to enjoy expansive views of the surrounding countryside. It features South Africa’s only four-level SkyPark, where visitors can tackle a thrilling obstacle course with 40 challenges. Adventure seekers can soar on ziplines extending from both sides of the park. Restaurants and cafés serve refreshments, while an educational path introduces visitors to the region’s geology and history.
