Woodbush Forest Reserve

Woodbush Forest Reserve in Magoebaskloof Valley, is teeming with untouched Afromontane forests and diverse birdlife. It's a prime spot for observing the black-fronted bush shrike and rare Cape parrot. The annual Magoesbaskloof Mountain Bike Classic courses through the reserve. Bird enthusiasts navigate a gravel road for the best birding drive, braving twists and turns from Haenertsburg on the R71 or via R36 from Modjadjiskloof. Debengeni Falls offers a picturesque picnic spot. The forest houses a stand of Eucalyptus trees, planted in 1906, towering over 80 metres and marking the Magoebaskloof Trail, part of a network winding through the woodland.
