About Musina

Set at the confluence of the Limpopo and Sand Rivers, close to the border with Zimbabwe in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, Musina is a mining town rich in diamonds, semi-precious stones, iron ore and much more. Scattered with citrus, mango, tomato and date plantations, the bushveld area also boasts a wealth of incredible flora and fauna. At the Musina Nature Reserve, visitors can wonder at the numerous mature baobab specimens, one of the oldest datable rocks on earth, and variety of enthralling wildlife and bird species. Hike and swim along the Luvuvhu River on the Makuya Hiking Trail, stopping to sleep under the stars, or traverse the heart-quickening treetop walk at the Mapungubwe National Park for phenomenal photos of the abundant birdlife, antelope and exceptional wide-open vistas.
