About Ulundi
The town of Ulundi is set among the magnificent hills and rocky valleys of the White Umfolozi River in the heart of the Zulu kingdom. Historically significant as the site of the final showdown of the Anglo Boer War, Ulundi has a small site museum that is well worth a visit. Set close to Ulundi is the mystical eMakhosini, ‘Valley of the Kings’, where the King of the Zulu tribe, King Goodwill Zwelithini, resides.
