Established in 2009 and renovated in 2016, the museum offers a captivating display of the reserve’s freshwater fish, a comprehensive photographic poster of the frogs, and an awe-inspiring exhibit of the legendary white lions of Timbavati. One of the intriguing exhibits includes a collection of elephant skulls, demonstrating the progression of their molars through six sets in a lifetime. The museum also houses a delicate collection of butterflies and moths, all native to the reserve, reminding visitors of nature’s incredible diversity. Additionally, the museum boasts an extensive collection of bird eggs, representing nearly every species found in South Africa.
