African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary

Founded by the Dyer Islands Conservation Trust within the Overstrand area, African Penguin & Seabird Sanctuary is a marine bird rehabilitation centre that provides temporary rehabilitative care to diseased, displaced and abandoned marine birds. The sanctuary focuses on serving as a centre for the community to report injured animals, house the facilities and staff trained in animal rehabilitation, educate local people on conservation and perform critical research on local birds.
