About Boschendal Manor House Museum

Boschendal’s 200-year-old manor house is a beautifully preserved example of Cape Dutch architecture, with a trademark front gable and wooden shutter. It is decorated as it would have been two centuries ago, with authentic furnishings and luxurious ebony, teak, yellowwood, walnut and oak finishes. Restored in the 1970s, this elegant building is now a museum reflecting what life must have been like for wealthy wine farmers in the 1800s.
