Named after the indigenous Cape Beech tree, Boekenhoutskloof is a historic farm located in the beautiful Franschhoek valley, whose name means “ravine of the Boekenhout”. Established in 1776 and owned by the same family for two centuries, the farm has a rich agricultural history including tobacco, fruit, cattle, and wine production. Boekenhoutskloof specialises in producing Syrah, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Semillon, and Viognier. One of their most popular offerings is The Chocolate Block, a Syrah-based blend.
