Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary

Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary is situated 5 km outside the village of McGregor on the road to Robertson. The sanctuary, donkey shop, book shop and restaurant are open Thursdays to Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm. Visitor guides are on duty each day to introduce visitors to the donkeys and offer information about the work done by the sanctuary. Visitors can also watch the feeding process on any of the days at about 4 pm. The sanctuary provides a permanent refuge and loving care for rescued donkeys.
