Located in Madagascar's Sainte-Marie Island, the picturesque Pirate Cemetery of Saint-Pierre is a burial ground for several hundreds of pirates. These notorious pirates are believed to have explored the seas in the 17th and 18th centuries. The cemetery has about 30 crumbled tombstones left, some of which have the pirate symbol engraved on them. The cemetery holds a lot of history and treasure from the restless pirates who terrorised the vast seas during their lifetime. It is open to visitors, and excellent photo opportunities are available.
