About Lake Anosy
Originally a swamp, Lake Anosy is an artificial lake created in 1830 by James Cameron, and it's located in Antananarivo, Madagascar. In the middle of the lake, visitors can view a tiny island which was once used to store explosive powder but today it's home to a monument erected to pay tribute to lives lost during World War I. Although the water is highly polluted, many poor and homeless people in the area can be seen fishing and washing in the lake.
