Vakona Private Reserve

Visitors can enjoy a luxurious ecotourism experience at Vakona Private Reserve in Andasibe, Madagascar. The private reserve features lodges set on a hillside above a lake. There is also a lush, green crocodile park and a lemur sanctuary set on an island, housing one of the largest of the lemur species, the rare Indri. Guests can explore the forest by canoe or on horseback and, with a bit of luck, an endemic cat-like fossa, related to the mongoose and resembling a small cougar, may be spotted.
